On Saturday, April 18, Sara is performing in two very diverse but amazing shows in Richmond, VA!
At 10am: For National Water Dance, Sara will be creating a variety of sounds alongside three movement makers - Andrea Beeman, Saadia Rais and Briar Chatterjea - as the group explores water and bodies at the downtown riverfront. Bring kids! Bring soundmaking objects! Be prepared for outdoor weather and open participation!
At 8pm: Sara will be performing in an epic lineup at The Material Room starting at 8pm. Built around the experimental duo Elka Bong (Al Margolis and Walter Wright, with whom Sara collaborated on an album) and touring collaborators Mia Zabelka, Austrian violinist, and Cilla Vee, movement artist, the night features a number of mini improvisational sets of different configurations. Participants include a long list of local experimental/improvisation artists! Sara is in the first set so please come on time.
